Unfair Humanity

If a man is looking for a life partner he is typically looking for someone who is smart, sexy, beautiful, intelligent, caring, sensible, loyal, humorous, has a good career, can respect his parents, can be by his side whenever he needs her and gives him his space.
One quality less and she is less of a woman
But does the same rule apply to a man? Ironically not.

Voices from far away

All my life I had been looking for something, and everywhere I turned someone tried to tell me what it was. I accepted their answers too, though they were often in contradiction and even self-contradictory. I was naive. I was looking for myself and asking everyone except myself questions which I, only I, could answer. It took me a long time and much painful boomeranging of my expectations to achieve a realization everyone else appears to have been born with: that I am nobody but myself.

Be calm and let the world make you one of them

They say wearing short shirts are sexually motivating. If that's the case what could a six year old possibly wear? She is supposed to wear skirts and jump around happily. And you find that sexually motivating too?  Seriously?

Meanwhile an important person who is supposed to be grieving about the condition prevailing in his state falls asleep during an important meeting. Wow!

And I witnessed another extraordinary situation, a girl who is not even a major yet married a guy 4 months before without her parents knowledge and she is 5 months pregnant. Great!

Acham, madam, nanam, payipu ellam maira pochu! What has happened to the so called Sixth sense that we are supposed to have? 'Moral ethics' what does that even mean?

And they say I'm overreacting and I need to calm the fuck down!
Cool.
Be calm and let the world make you one of them.

Voice of an Atheist

"Arrogant, ruthless, vile" - the first impression a theist gets on meeting an atheist.

Dear people,
Just because we don't believe in god, it doesn't mean that we are heartless. We are more compassionate than you think. We care for people who doesn't share our belief. We don't try to impose our ideology on others. We fear our conscience. We are not aliens. We are just people like you. So try to change your mind set on people who doesn't believe in god.

Yours kindly
An Atheist.

"Spectac-le/ular" ending

"It’s hard to describe how I feel now. I want to explain everything to you, but I don’t know how to. I feel so alone and I’m scared. All kinds of thoughts are running through my mind. Stress is eating me up every minute. If only you were by my side today, I would have never felt so alone....."

"Mr.Venkat?" Called the attendant interrupting my reading of 'It started with a friend request by Sudeep Nagarkar' while I was waiting in the lobby.

My LASIK surgery was scheduled at 10am and it was already 1pm. I was called inside finally. My mom was freaking out already. I was the fifth patient to be called for the surgery. Three of them were done with the surgery and sitting outside closing their eyes and wearing funny looking goggles. "You are next Mr.Venkat and you will be sitting just like them" I told myself and tried to picture myself wearing this goggles. Yuck!

As I entered the corridor leading to the operation theater, I was asked to wear a blue colour robe over my dress.

"Can I get a medium size please? This one is too big for me" I told the attendant.
He stared at me as if I asked him to strip down and give me his goddamn robes.
"What are you staring at, you arsehole? I paid 40k and is it too much to expect a robe of my size?" I wanted to say it out loud.

I peeked inside the operation theater and the surgeon was giving post operative instructions to the previous patient. She got off the bed and was helped by someone to the exit. She walked as if a blind girl crossing a road helped by a good hearted citizen. Fuck! Am I gonna be in the same situation? Okay turn away and run Venkat!
As I turned I found the attendant asking me to get inside. You are screwed Venkat!
Too much sacrifice for your dream to sail! You are gonna be blind! Or probably you will get rid of your specs and everything will fall into place.
I was asked to lie down by a lady doctor. I could definitely say that she looks hot even though she was wearing a mask. May be I should try the 'Johnny Bravo pick up lines' with her sometime later.

*20mins of silence*

That was easy. All I felt was some touch sensation in my eyes. I got up from the bed and walked towards the exit. I wonder why that girl walked like a blind lady, I can see clearly (well the vision was slightly distorted but definitely I'm not blind) Girls tend to exaggerate things.

I was given the post operative instructions. And got back home after an hour.

Life is gonna be bright from now and I can checkout chicks from the corner of my eyes!
But I am not supposed to wash my face and hair for a week and wear this funny looking goggles. In short, I'm gonna look like a complete douche for a week! :|

Good old days

A passion is nothing but a hobby which grows with us over time, like a seed planted, growing into a tree. The good old times when our grandma and granddad used to tell bedtime stories are fading. We rarely spend time with them. I felt a intense rush to write this post after a long telephone chat with my grandma. I still remember those days when i was lying down beside my grandma and say "Paati, kadha sollu paati". She would start "Once upon a time....". I would be listening to her with immense interest. As i started growing up, this habit still didn't leave me. Whenever i visit her, i would ask her to tell me a story with the same sparkle in my eyes. Even after all these years she would come up with a completely new story which she never told me before. I used to wonder how come she knows so many stories and when i finally became mature i understood those were not just stories. Some of them were stories she read and heard from her parents and grandma, some were her life incidents developed as a fiction. Those that she told me when i was 5years old, later became my 12th std syllabus. She simplified those big essays and complicated poetry as bedtime story.
This habit eventually turned me into a bibliophile and it is the best thing ever happened to me. I'd rather just read a book than go out partying. And nothing makes me more happier than sharing what i read with her. She may not know how to send e-mail or use the internet, she may not have a degree, she may not speak english fluently, But she is the most intelligent person i have ever met. She didn't stop learning even at the age of 65 and never stopped sharing those with me. I just want to thank her for planting the habit of reading. Thank you paati!

Epitome of Emotions

A guy fell in love with a girl, and the girl loves him and he s pretty sure that everything is gonna work out well but the girl gets confused and complicate it. So what does the guy do? His life turns upside and all his charm dies and he s not the same anymore. He becomes like a shadow, losing all the colours in his life and live his life like a ghost. A few years passes by and he either meets a girl who breaks the shadow, shook him up and brings effervescence inside him like a champagne or a miracle happens which bring his love back to him and they live happily ever after.

This is what movies shows right? What if all this is just a big sack of lies thrown at as to make us feel that life is simple?

What if he is heads over toe in love with the girl and she doesnt give a fuck? I will tell you what happens then.

He tries all the crazy fucking way that he can think off to swipe her off her feet and make her fall in love with him. And he gets hurt everytime. He drinks till his blood turns into alcohol and think abt her everytime and ruin his life. He keeps whining all the time and loses his best friends. He becomes the most annoying person. He stops enjoying little things that matters to him. And he realize its never gonna workout and he has to give up. Does he give up? No.

Well in a way he does, he gets busy. He does everything to keep him occupied. His passion has turned out to be something he does only to while away the time. He doesnt like doing all this. But its okay atleast it keeps him off from thinking about her and getting depressed. But he could only do this for a while right? I mean everybody has a breaking point. You cant just do things u dont love for a long time!

Living a monotonous life for a few months, he feel he has to change the way he is. He starts hanging out with people, making new friends, laughing and he s happy. But there is something missing. He doesnt feel love. He s just happy from outside but his soul is greedy. It expects more. Its just not content with this kind of happiness and makes him think about her. His thoughts again get filled up and his feet aches by running along with his thoughts. He sees people and wonders how come they are not like him? Have they never feel in love the way he did? Or are they too good in hiding their feelings by wearing a mask? Does this happens to everyone or just him?

He just wants to be alone, Working away from all this bullshit he s going through. Get occupied with work again. And he wonders if this wish at least gets fulfilled.

We live in a century where we have sex first and then think if its love or not right? Why cant he be like that? Is he getting too old fashioned? Wont the miracles that happen in movies, occur for him? Will he ever fall in love again? And I end this note, waiting for time to answer all the questions that I have.
