A love letter: Beautiful Mind

I'm used to being ignored. I'm used to being cancelled on. I'm used to being left out. I’m used to being the second option. I'm used to being forgotten about. I've learned to keep my expectations low, just so none of these things would matter. I barely find anybody attractive. I barely feel affection for anybody. But when I do, I fall in so deep, so hard.

You were leaning over the wall with your hands folded with a faint smile in your lips and your nose ring sparkling under the reflection of the sun. I had a feeling that I've seen you before. Instantly I wanted to know more about you. I still haven't succeeded at that and I have a feeling that I never will.

I wish you to talk about anything and everything. Smiles with hidden promises. The excitement, the butterflies, the shaking hands, the shy confessions, the complicity, sudden kisses, everlasting hugs. I wish I have you to celebrate, show you my deep hidden secrets, erase your insecurities, share my dreams with you and help you hard to make you achieve yours and love you like no one else ever will.

It’s all happening inside my head. You might even shed a tear or two if you could look into my mind.

A love letter: Fairy Tales

Of course I want to get to know you. But at the same time, I want to feel like I already know you. Such a fairy tale it is.
You may think fairy tales are only for girls. Here’s a hint- ask yourself who wrote them. I assure you, it wasn't just the women. It’s the great male fantasy. All it takes is one dance to know that she’s the one. All it takes is the sound of her song from the tower, or a look at her sleeping face. And right away we men know- this is the girl in our head, dancing or sleeping or singing in front of us.
Yes, girls want their princes, but boys want their princesses just as much, and are ready to go through a whirlwind courtship. My fairy tale happened when I first saw you during dance practice. Ever heard of the word ‘Liquescent’? That’s the word which can describe what I went through when I first met you.
Li-ques-cent, adj. 1. Becoming liquid; melting.
2. Tending towards a liquid state.

And I do secretly hope, like all fairy tales mine will have a “happily ever after.”

Unfair Humanity

If a man is looking for a life partner he is typically looking for someone who is smart, sexy, beautiful, intelligent, caring, sensible, loyal, humorous, has a good career, can respect his parents, can be by his side whenever he needs her and gives him his space.
One quality less and she is less of a woman
But does the same rule apply to a man? Ironically not.

Voices from far away

All my life I had been looking for something, and everywhere I turned someone tried to tell me what it was. I accepted their answers too, though they were often in contradiction and even self-contradictory. I was naive. I was looking for myself and asking everyone except myself questions which I, only I, could answer. It took me a long time and much painful boomeranging of my expectations to achieve a realization everyone else appears to have been born with: that I am nobody but myself.

Be calm and let the world make you one of them

They say wearing short shirts are sexually motivating. If that's the case what could a six year old possibly wear? She is supposed to wear skirts and jump around happily. And you find that sexually motivating too?  Seriously?

Meanwhile an important person who is supposed to be grieving about the condition prevailing in his state falls asleep during an important meeting. Wow!

And I witnessed another extraordinary situation, a girl who is not even a major yet married a guy 4 months before without her parents knowledge and she is 5 months pregnant. Great!

Acham, madam, nanam, payipu ellam maira pochu! What has happened to the so called Sixth sense that we are supposed to have? 'Moral ethics' what does that even mean?

And they say I'm overreacting and I need to calm the fuck down!
Cool.
Be calm and let the world make you one of them.

Voice of an Atheist

"Arrogant, ruthless, vile" - the first impression a theist gets on meeting an atheist.

Dear people,
Just because we don't believe in god, it doesn't mean that we are heartless. We are more compassionate than you think. We care for people who doesn't share our belief. We don't try to impose our ideology on others. We fear our conscience. We are not aliens. We are just people like you. So try to change your mind set on people who doesn't believe in god.

Yours kindly
An Atheist.

"Spectac-le/ular" ending

"It’s hard to describe how I feel now. I want to explain everything to you, but I don’t know how to. I feel so alone and I’m scared. All kinds of thoughts are running through my mind. Stress is eating me up every minute. If only you were by my side today, I would have never felt so alone....."

"Mr.Venkat?" Called the attendant interrupting my reading of 'It started with a friend request by Sudeep Nagarkar' while I was waiting in the lobby.

My LASIK surgery was scheduled at 10am and it was already 1pm. I was called inside finally. My mom was freaking out already. I was the fifth patient to be called for the surgery. Three of them were done with the surgery and sitting outside closing their eyes and wearing funny looking goggles. "You are next Mr.Venkat and you will be sitting just like them" I told myself and tried to picture myself wearing this goggles. Yuck!

As I entered the corridor leading to the operation theater, I was asked to wear a blue colour robe over my dress.

"Can I get a medium size please? This one is too big for me" I told the attendant.
He stared at me as if I asked him to strip down and give me his goddamn robes.
"What are you staring at, you arsehole? I paid 40k and is it too much to expect a robe of my size?" I wanted to say it out loud.

I peeked inside the operation theater and the surgeon was giving post operative instructions to the previous patient. She got off the bed and was helped by someone to the exit. She walked as if a blind girl crossing a road helped by a good hearted citizen. Fuck! Am I gonna be in the same situation? Okay turn away and run Venkat!
As I turned I found the attendant asking me to get inside. You are screwed Venkat!
Too much sacrifice for your dream to sail! You are gonna be blind! Or probably you will get rid of your specs and everything will fall into place.
I was asked to lie down by a lady doctor. I could definitely say that she looks hot even though she was wearing a mask. May be I should try the 'Johnny Bravo pick up lines' with her sometime later.

*20mins of silence*

That was easy. All I felt was some touch sensation in my eyes. I got up from the bed and walked towards the exit. I wonder why that girl walked like a blind lady, I can see clearly (well the vision was slightly distorted but definitely I'm not blind) Girls tend to exaggerate things.

I was given the post operative instructions. And got back home after an hour.

Life is gonna be bright from now and I can checkout chicks from the corner of my eyes!
But I am not supposed to wash my face and hair for a week and wear this funny looking goggles. In short, I'm gonna look like a complete douche for a week! :|
